Background

Shifat’s father committed suicide after burning her mother with acid.

Her mother used to work as a street sweeper but she stopped working when the wounds returned severely and she had to undergo a neck surgery as an implication of the acid.

Her mother now stays in the village and still recovering from wounds allover her body with a lot of pain.

Shifat now stays with her aunt in Katanga slum with her aunt’s child. To earn a living, her aunt works as a street sweeper and earn a very small monthly income to pay for house rent, food, clothing and also save for Shifat’s school fees.

Shifat is looking for an opportunity of getting a sponsor so that she can be able to attain a good and stable education which will make a great difference in her life.
