Background

Mary stays in a muddy single room with her mother and 2 siblings. Her father abandoned her and the family 3 years ago and he does not give the family any support nor do they hear from him.

Maryâs mother is disabled with one leg and working to be able to take care of her children is very challenging for her.

Even if she has one leg, her mother digs on other peoples gardens from which she earns a small income and also repairs other people’s clothes from her small room and earns 1 dollar a day.

Mary has not started school yet because of lack of school fees and she is looking for an opportunity to come to a good school in the city through sponsorship.
