Background
Anthony has been staying with his grandmother in Katanga slum since he was 5 months old. He has 2 siblings and they all under the care of his grandmother.
His father used to be a builder and was transferred to work in Burundi under a construction company. While in Burundi he married a Burundi lady and after sent her to Uganda and the children to stay with his family in the slum. From that time until today he never contacted the mother of his children and Anthony’s grandmother again.
Jonathan’s mother abandoned the children at their grandmother’s home in the slum after not hearing from their father again and went back to Burundi.
Its been 3 years now and his contacts went off and his relatives are not sure whether he is alive or not. Anthony’s grandmother fries snacks and earns 2USD a day which is very little to save for his grandchildren’s school fees and her children .
Anthony is looking for an opportunity of sponsorship so that he can have a good education and a better life.
