Background
Sumaya’s father died of an unknown illness in 2015 when Sumaya was still a baby. Sumaya has 3 siblings and they all under the care of their mother alone.
Sumaya stays in a singe roomed small house with her mother and siblings. To earn a living, Sumaya mother makes bathing sponges from her home in the slum from which she earns a very small income that is not enough to cater for the family basics and save for the children’s school fees.
Sumaya goes to a small poor school in the slum but misses school frequently because her mother’s small income can not sustain her in school.
Sumaya is looking for an opportunity to be sponsored so that she can be able to go to a good school and attain a good education.
