Background
Renah stays with her father in a single small room in the slum. Her mother abandoned her and got married to another man. His father used to be a boda boda cyclist but was robbed and beaten almost to death and left with nothing.
Renah’s father lost his eyesight and it has been hard for him to get another job. He now sells vegetables at a market nearby their home and earns a very small income which is not enough to take care of the family basics.
Her other siblings stay in the village with her stepmother because the father could not afford providing for the family while living in the city because it was very expensive for him.
Renah goes to a poor government school and most of the time she is out of school because of lack of school fees.
Renah is looking for an opportunity of being sponsored so that she can be able to attain a good education.
