Background
Pretty was abandoned at her grandmother’s home when she was 2 months old and when her grandmother died, she was taken on by her aunt who has mothered her since she was a baby.
Pretty does not know her real mother and she has grown up thinking that her aunt is her mother. Her father left to stay on some unknown island when Pretty was very young and has never retuned back nor contacted his relatives ever since that time.
Pretty’s aunt is a single mother with 2 children in school, she separated from their father 8 years ago and all her 3 children are under her care alone. Pretty’s aunt hawks bananas in the traffic outside the slum and earns about 2 USD on a good day.
From her small income, she struggles to pay for Pretty’s school fees at a small poor school in the slum. Most of the times, Pretty is sent out of school because of lack of school fees.
Pretty is looking for an opportunity of sponsorship so that she can be able to attain a stable and good education.
