Background
Patricia has been staying with her grandmother in Katanga slum since she was 8 months old. Her mother got pregnant of her when she was still very young and still in school and her father too was still very young and not ready to take care of the child.
Patricia is under the care of her grandmother who makes baskets and paper necklaces from her small room from which she earns a very small income since she doesn’t have many customers. Her grandmother also takes care of other 3 grandchildren and sustaining all of them in school is a very difficult.
Patricia goes to a poor school in slum but always out of school due to lack of school fees. Patricia is a very good chess player and also an active girl.
She is looking for an opportunity to be sponsored so that she can attain a good education.
