Background
Daniel comes from a family of 7 children and he is the 5th child. He stays with his mother in Katanga house with his 5 siblings. Both his parents are alive but his father is away most of the times because he has another family with 3 children in the village where he is settled now.
His father is a farmer and on very few occasions he sends some food to the family in the city. Daniel’s father does not support the children with school fees, house rent or any other needs concerning finances.
His mother has a small retail shop in the slum and struggles a lot to take care of the family basics and also sustain her children in school from her little profits from her small shop.
Daniel goes to a poor government school nearby the slum which not free and most times he is not in school because of lack of school fees. Daniel loves playing basket ball and dreams of becoming a great basketball player one day with a career.
Daniel is looking for an opportunity to be sponsored so that he can be able to attain a good and stable education that will help make a difference in his life.
